Alpha3 Creative Collective is the brainchild of one of Seattle’s most well-known action photographers, Mike Tedesco. Mike had been working with high-school and college creatives, generally photographers and videographers. The goal of Alpha3 Creative Collective is to provide resources and opportunity for young creatives to expand their knowledge and skills.
The branding need to promote confidence, and visualize the three pillars of the Alpha3’s mission. Careers, Creatives, and Connections. The creative field is not one group across the board, and no project is complete by the lone hand of an individual. This branding effort aims to be memorable, versatile, and properly represent the energy and passion of young creatives.

THE THREE PILLARS
Do You ‘C’ Them?
First, notice the three identical sections that creates our logomark. The shapes are reminiscent of the letter “C”, giving a direct nod to Alpha3’s goals and values.
3 CORNERS REALLY MAKE A POINT
Triangular Logo Design
The triangle form was obvious to hint once more at our three pillars. The triangular letterform of ‘A’ for “Alpha3” became an intricate part of the brand development process, you’ll see just a bit down the page.
PERFECT SHAPES, BALANCED LOGO
We constrained ourselves to only work with equilateral triangles when building this logo to ensure consistent balance and form across the whole brand.
TAKING IT ONE STEP FURTHER
No typeface was capable of pairing with the logo like the custom wordmark we designed. The same geometric repetition is shown, with mathematically sized circles that allow us to bring some smoothness into a sharp letterform.
COLOR TO MATCH THE LOGO
The final touch was perfecting a unique color palette that would present the logo with energy, youthfulness, and creativity. The colors work together in a variety of combinations, providing an extremely versatile branding experience for Alpha3 Creative Collective.
