MedNet Medical Billing was manifested from the bedroom of Scott Wood over 35 years ago. Scott has spent his career dedicated to revolutionizing the medical billing industry. His business model and technological skills were cutting-edge in the 90s, and everyone knew it. In 2021, our goal was to refresh the MedNet brand and bring back the cutting-edge energy from the company’s origin.
The previous branding (created in 2001) had acquired some decent brand recognition in the industry. We didn’t want to completely disconnect, but we needed to re-assess the how the brand’s personality has evolved over the past two decades. We needed a memorable and versatile logo, paired with a sharp new tagline to give MedNet the rebrand they deserved.

Getting Back To Basics
The previous logo and branding had to be stripped down and examined. What was the purpose behind the previous decisions? Was it achieving our current goals? How can the brand’s image and purpose be better communicated?
DIRECT, PROFESSIONAL, AND UNIQUE
We agreed the previous branding needed to more directly appeal to medical offices. The “+” symbol in the previous branding was attempting this, but we went with a more direct approach, with 100% unique design qualities.
THE ‘M’ WAS ALREADY THERE
‘M’ Logo Design
The EKG had a natural ‘M’ letterform hidden within. A long process of trial and error allowed the discovery of a completely unique EKG design, that maintains full-legibility for our ‘M’ in ‘Med’. We like to think you can see the ‘N’ from ‘Net’, too.
SIMPLE, UNDERSTANDABLE, AND MEMORABLE
MedNet’s original tagline, “Partnering for Integrated Solutions”, wasn’t hitting the mark for the intended goals. We wanted to make sure that decision makers understood we are offering billing solutions that companies will wish they had, when the problems start to come.
